Greetings! I'm Dave, the course creator. I write about personal finance at The Dollar Blogger. My focus areas are on how to save money and how to get out of debt.

I handle the finances in my home. My wife and I have the same financial goals, which has been helpful. I believe it's important to have conversations about money with your spouse and your children. Getting on the same page as your spouse financially is something I talk about on my blog and will touch on in this course.

My financial inspirations are a mixture of being conservative with your money (saving, avoiding debt) but also spending money on the things you and your family love (rich life).

How do you balance the two? Whether you have kids or it's just you and your spouse, you need a savings plan so that you are saving money, crushing your debt, and investing in your future. When you successfully do all of this, you'll have plenty of extra money to spend on things you love, so that you and your family can enjoy your life without worrying about where money is coming from.
